Подробности Spot Chip от HP

/Tags/Readers/

this technology still has the same problems as RFID in a healthcare setting with even less functionality. COST. At a dollar a chip, its impractical for a lot of medical applications. Patient wristbands only need a bar code to call up information on the computer.
RFID has the advantage of being able to be used as a tracking system for patients with high flight risk.
a dog tag or medical record bracelet might work with this technology.
as an in hospital location, it just doesn't seem to have enough benefits over existing technologies.

Inventor of TIRIS Applications for DVD
Written by Roy Edenson on Thursday, 12 October 2006
Several years ago we developed at TI, a system to provide security and Copy Protection for Media Content such as movies. There really is no limitation of capacity indiginous to this RFID system especially if coupled to data once unlocked in the disk. I am retired now but suspect that TI doesn't really know what they have in this potentially lucretive area, especially since the memory feature could be used for setting user defaults and bookmarking progress in the watching of the content. Read the patents issued and you may well find the goldmine you seek including the profit margins. Time is critical as the battle of BlueRay and HD-DVD are heating up. Aggressive support of one of the formats (I suggest HD-DVD) would give that format a definite user/manufacturer as well as content supplier's edge It also could give the purchaser of content unique advantages.
This Be aggressive No guts, no glory, eh?
